Powder for metal coatings comes in many different colors, textures, and looks. They are essentially liquid coating in a powdered form.  Powders are made from mostly polyester and urethanes which give them their durability and UV resistance from fading, however, there are epoxies and hybrids as well. Most are just a single-stage application. Some are two-stage or colors that require a clear coat.

How long does it take for the powder coat to dry?

Powder coated items do not dry like traditional paint.

Once an item is prepped (abrasive blasted then treated with a metal prep solution) it is then placed into one of our ovens.

When the item reaches its target temperature, the powder flows out and generally cured in 15-30 minutes.

Once the item is out of the oven and cooled, it can be put immediately back into service.
